The brush bar and incredible suction make it a great animal vacuum. It also has a nice mini turbine head brush for removing pet hair off of pillows or upholstery. The performance of the Dyson Airmuscle on carpets is excellent. We tested it on small and large particles and it did great, but doesn't clean right up to the edge. On hard flooring the DC28 does great with smaller particles like flour, but cracker pieces don't fit under the front of the vacuum head. We had to lift up the vacuum to get these large particles cleaned up. On stairs with pet hair on them, use the mini turbine brush. The stair brush is a nice tool, and the flat out head is great for getting under furniture The suction on this vacuum is incredible. Its over 25 kilopascals. The filter eliminates all dust. Our decibel reader registered around 80 which is average for a vacuum. This Dyson is a bagless model, as all new Dyson models are. The bagless canister only needs to be emptied when you can see too much dust and pet hair in the clear container. Watch these videos I made in order 1-4. I went Oreck and I'm never going back. I happened to get a used/refurbished Oreck vacuum from a local retailer. The brush and power are amazing even with all the dog hair and its good on the hard floor or rugs. We replace a cheap vacuum almost every year. So if you add the cost of that, in the long run it is cheaper to buy something that will last. In addition to the amazing cleaning power, the bags last a long time. This first bag after several cleanings is only about 1/4 of the way full. Replacement bags aren't expensive either. Also, this thing is so light weight! I just wanted to share this b/c I am soooo happy with it and think anyone that has pets would find it refreshing to actually be able to get a rug/carpet hair free (for a little while anyway!). So, if you're in the market for a vacuum, I would definitely recommend looking into an Oreck, new or used.

www.vacuumwizard.com Dirt Devil Ultra Power MO8230 Review The Dirt Devil MO8230 handheld vacuum has a power brush nozzle with a plate that folds over the nozzle so that you can use the hose and crevice tool attachments. There is also a protective clothe covering that can be twisted off to reveal the paper bag underneath. The Dirt Devil Ultra Power is a corded vacuum which will inhibit where you can use it, but it is nice that you never lose power. The machine did a fine job cleaning up fine particles from carpet, but it really struggled with our medium particle rice. Rather than sucking it up, broke it into pieces and left it behind. We had the same issue with large particles. We had to use the hose to get all of the beans the machine left behind which proved to be a tedious task. We had the same experience using this machine on hard surface flooring. We had to run an extension cord to be able to use this vacuum in our car. The vacuum's design was too boxy and the suction strength was too weak to do a good job cleaning our vehicle. It did a decent job on pet hair, but took some effort to get it all cleaned up. This vacuum has a decent filtration system. At an average of ninety-two decibels, this is one of the loudest vacuums we have ever tested.

In continuation of the GoVacuum video series, we have created a video review of two vacuum cleaners. We put to the test the Miele Callisto S5280 and the Kenmore Canister Vacuum. Our decision to put these two vacuums head to head stems from the Consumer Reports magazine. For years, the Consumer Reports magazine has rated the Kenmore Canister number one. The Miele has been ranked at 5 or 6. Having many, many years of industry experience, the Consumer Reports ranking has left us baffled because the Miele Callisto is one of our best canisters because of its high quality, unbeatable performance and long life. In order to compare the vacuums, we are performing three tests with the machines. First, the machines' filtration systems are being tested with the use of a laser particle scanner which calculates the number of particles being emitted from the exhaust filter on the canisters. Second, the machines are tested on their ability to side clean, meaning how well the machines' power heads can clean when against a wall or any other surface. Lastly, the machines are tested on their maneuverability. One of the things that people complain most about when considering canisters is how difficult they are to maneuver, especially when you have the feeling that you are dragging a dead weight behind you.
